These strategic and highly focused workshops - proudly funded by the Government of Alberta - delve into critical themes of anti-racism and multiculturalism, fostering a deeper understanding of ourselves, our communities, and how to create a more equitable society. Through interactive sessions, thought-provoking discussions, and insightful presentations, you'll gain the knowledge and tools to become a powerful advocate for change. 

This workshop series offers six key modules: 

  • Workshop 1: Understanding the Many Faces of Racism: Unpack the different forms racism takes, from overt prejudice to unconscious bias. Explore its historical roots and ongoing social impact. 
  • Workshop 2: Leadership and Antiracism: Discover how leaders can champion anti-racism initiatives. Learn strategies for building inclusive workplaces and fostering allyship within your teams. 
  • Workshop 3: Understanding the Black, Indigenous and Youth of Colour in the Context of the Canadian Society: Gain a deeper understanding of the experiences of Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) communities in Canada. Explore the challenges they face and the importance of amplifying their voices. 
  • Workshop 4: Allyship. How to be an ally: Move beyond by-standerism and become a proactive ally. Learn practical steps to support BIPOC communities and dismantle racist structures. 
  • Workshop 5: Police Actions In The Community: Engage in a critical discussion about policing and its impact on racialized communities. Explore strategies for promoting police accountability and fostering trust.
